Recently, we at Industrial Roofing finished a roof restoration for one of our long-time clients who happened to be a huge industrial facility that we have serviced for over 25 years. The client had huge problems with one area of their roof, but due to budget constraints and the sensitive nature of the interior facility, a full replacement was not possible. After the assessment, we proposed a cost-effective roof re-cover solution to extend its life without disrupting operations and staying on budget.
We made incisions in the saturated areas of the existing roof and replaced damaged insulation. Once the affected areas were repaired, we installed a layer of coverboard over the entire roof surface to create a solid foundation for the new membrane. We installed a self-adhered base sheet membrane to complete the roof re-cover, followed by torched down a PolyGlass granulated cap sheet membrane. This 2-ply modified bitumen roof system delivers superb durability and will protect the facility for the next 15+ years with regular maintenance.
